Q&A Panel
The panel will be hosted by Laura Blaber (Bath Spa University) and features three guests whose combined experience spans the very top of the rock and roll world, the grassroots gigging circuit, and the cutting edge of the South West's emerging music scene.
Iain Robertson was tour manager and head of security for Manchester band Oasis
during their steep trajectory to rock royalty in the 1990s. Side by side with Liam and
Noel Gallagher as their road manager and minder, twenty-four hours a day, eight
days a week, as they took on the world and won – no one was closer. He has since
worked with an extraordinary roster of artists including George Harrison, Public
Image Limited and Duran Duran, and has written about his experiences in his book
Oasis: What’s The Story? – Life on Tour with Liam and Noel Gallagher. His stories
from the front line of rock history are as gripping as they are illuminating.
Fraser Morgan is a rapidly rising Folk-Punk singer-songwriter known for relentless
gigging and for bringing to the stage high levels of passion, energy and
showmanship. From Colchester in Essex, Fraser recently played his landmark
1,000th gig to a sold-out crowd at Colchester Arts Centre – a milestone that speaks
to a philosophy of hard work, self-belief and absolute commitment to the craft of live
performance. He has built a trusted and loyal following, championing mental health
and unity at the core of his music, and will be performing at KMF 2026 on both the
Youth Stage and the Top Stage Ska Party Night.
Ava Geoghegan is one half of the twin-fronted Bristol indie fusion rock band
Kodachrome who played their very first festival here at KMF. They have risen entirely
on talent, relentless hard work and sheer stage magnetism – with no industry
connections, and over four years of gigging in every imaginable venue, from tiny
local bars to major city stages. In 2025 they sold out hometown shows at venues
including Thekla and The Louisiana, opened for major acts at the O2 Academy
Bristol and the Komedia in Bath, and appeared on festival main stages across the
South West. The end of 2025 saw them represent the United Kingdom at the
Imagine International Finals in Brussels, taking second place overall — the first time
a UK band had appeared in the competition. Ava is also principal songwriter for the
band, drawing her inspiration from the works of Alanis Morissette, Kate Bush, the
Cranberries and Stevie Nicks. Kodachrome will be performing on the Top Stage on
Sunday.
