2019
The Keynsham Music Festival is focused firmly on Keynsham and its performers. It is also focused on the Keynsham audience and the promotion of musical arts and related arts content. It is committed to original music and is an important regional facility for showcasing up and coming bands and musicians. That is why well over 500 apply each year to play at The Festival – from the immediate locality and from the national and international community.
The Festival aims to bring a variety of musical performances and entertainment of the widest possible range to the whole community.
Fifty Years Ago 1969
Every year Keynsham Music Festival seems to be full of anniversaries.
This year it’s the 50th for the release of the Beatle’s last album Abbey Road and we’re celebrating by having two nights of a live performance of the whole album
in the Space.
It’s the 50th of the first man on the moon and artist Maya will celebrate that momentous occasion with activity in the children’s Creative Arena on Sunday.
It is also the 50th of the release of the Bonzo Dog Band’s album “Keynsham”. Sadly, we were unable
to secure the Bonzo’s for a concert due to legal
wrangling – but we came very close! However,
they are appearing on our Festival posters.
