Folk
Jelli Records Acoustic Evening
Maya Hughes & Richard Crane
Maya was named after a 60s song by psychedelic folk outfit The Incredible String Band, which set the tone for the life that followed: 'Maya, Maya, all this world is but a play, be thou the joyful player!' Characterised by pure, arresting vocals, romantic melodies and moody hues sung from the heart, Maya’s music aims to soothe the ears and touch the soul. She ‘joyfully plays’ alongside bassist Richard Crane, combining her own compositions with English and Irish folk songs (and an eclectic mix of covers, when appropriate).

The Legendary snake SNAKE snake
The Legendary Snake SNAKE Snake are a Somerset 4 piece with equal shots of banjo, guitar, cajon, and bass. We blend Hillbilly, Mariachi, European, Country, Punk and Rock n Roll rhythms into our strange Somerset melting pot to create a heady mix of raucous uptempo Burrow Hillbilly Cow Punk. We write and record all our own original songs mainly focused around Somerset, Chilli eating, Bowie loving, Scrumpy drinking, Cat chasing and local baiting, whilst chucking in a few well known lively covers.
Ribble
Ribble - two Northern men, a fiddle, a guitar, and a large beard. So far, so what? Well, add in a 90s drum synth, some mighty arrangements of meaty fiddle tunes, some songs, some wrong turns, battle scars earned busking the streets of Salisbury, a barrowload of inane banter and the feeling that your mad rum-soaked uncle is roaring at you to dance on the tables, then you’re getting close to what Ribble offer. For those of you of a more delicate or sophisticated nature, please rest assured we can reign in our more feral impulses to produce a smooth background sound for your wedding or garden party. Look at our gig history to see we've been very popular on the wedding and private party circuit.
