Ash Wing
Ash Wing is the new band name for its previous incarnation The CSides Project. Welsh band The C-Sides Project has entered a new era under the new name Ash Wing, with a transformation that mirrors their evolving sound, renewed energy, and commitment to pushing their musical boundaries.
Released on WhiteKnight Records in November 2025, the self-titled debut album, Ash Wing, highlights the band’s dynamic range and new vision. Their music explores culture and the human experience. Musically, the band has evolved toward a more organic, live-in-the-room sound. The songs are built from acoustic foundations and shaped collectively. Sian Elson introduces a powerful dimension to the music, drawing on folk traditions, old Welsh hymns, and Celtic revival influences deeply connected to her heritage. Ash Wing’s live set is meant to be immersive and atmospheric, an intimate blend of folk, Progressive Rock and Celtic textures with modern songwriting that honours the past while speaking clearly to the present music scene. Ash Wing is fronted by Sian Elson (vocals), joined by Martin Rosser (guitar, vocals), Allen McCarthy (Bass, vocals) and Allan Mason-Jones (Drums).
